01The setup
Disneyland Resort perks and services for 2026.
Hotel guest perks (2026 change): As of January 5, 2026, Early Entry (the old 30-minute head start) has been eliminated. It's replaced by one complimentary Lightning Lane Multi Pass entry per registered guest (age 3+) per stay, not per day. This applies only to the three Disney-owned hotels: Disneyland Hotel, Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, and Pixar Place Hotel. Good Neighbor and off-site hotels do not qualify. Rise of the Resistance and Radiator Springs Racers are excluded. Redeem through the Disneyland app starting at 7 AM on your arrival day.
Early Entry is gone. Hotel guests get one complimentary LL Multi Pass entry per stay instead.
02Going deeper
Magic Key annual passes: Disneyland offers five Magic Key tiers in 2026. Inspire Key ($1,899) has the fewest blockout dates (only Dec 21-31) and includes parking. Believe Key ($1,474) adds select holiday/weekend blockouts including April 1-5 for Spring Break. Explore Key ($999) has more summer access but blocks most Saturdays and peak periods. April blockouts include the 1st through the 6th plus select Saturdays. Enchant Key ($849) offers moderate access with broader blockout dates than Explore, including most peak weekends and holidays. Imagine Key ($599, SoCal residents only) is the most restrictive. All tiers include 10-20% merchandise and dining discounts. All Magic Key holders get 25% off Lightning Lane Multi Pass.
03Pro moves
Disability Access Service (DAS): DAS eligibility was narrowed in 2024 and continues into 2026. It is now for guests who, due to a developmental disability like autism, cannot wait in a conventional queue. Physical disabilities alone do not qualify. Pre-registration via live video call is required 2-60 days before your visit. DAS covers the registered guest plus up to 3 party members (total of 4). Registration is valid for the length of your ticket or up to 1 year. DAS provides a virtual return time comparable to the current standby wait. It is not front-of-the-line access.
04Final word
Rider Switch: Available at most rides with height requirements in both parks. Your group approaches together, then splits. Party A rides while Party B waits with the non-rider. After Party A finishes, up to 2 people from Party B enter through the Lightning Lane entrance without re-waiting. You don't need a child to qualify. Any party member unable to ride can trigger it. Free and included with regular admission.
Mobile ordering: Available at most quick-service restaurants via the Disneyland app. Orders open at 7 AM daily. Order early for popular spots like Jolly Holiday Bakery and Galactic Grill. Pickup windows fill up during holidays and events. You can modify your pickup time if slots are available. Payment via credit card, Disney Gift Card, or Apple Pay. Table-service restaurants use the separate reservation system (book up to 60 days out), not mobile order.
Dining reservations: Book table-service restaurants up to 60 days in advance through the app or website. Hardest-to-get reservations: Blue Bayou, Lamplight Lounge, and Carthay Circle. Cancellation must be at least 2 hours before or there's a $10/guest no-show fee. Walk-up lists are available at select restaurants via the app, but unreliable during peak seasons. For last-minute openings, check the app a few days before your visit. Cancellations often appear.
Disneyland After Dark: Separately ticketed evening events running 9 PM–1 AM with limited capacity and shorter waits. In April 2026, Disney Channel Nite is scheduled for April 12, 14, and 16. Star Wars Nite runs April 28 and 30. Anyone can purchase a ticket regardless of hotel. On event nights, Disneyland may close early (around 8 PM) for non-event guests.
Play Disney Parks app: A separate free app with interactive in-queue games, trivia, AR experiences in Galaxy's Edge, and digital collectibles. Worth downloading if you want something to do while waiting in line for Space Mountain, Star Tours, or Toy Story Midway Mania.
