Privacy Policy

Summary

LessQ is designed to be privacy-friendly. We collect minimal data, do not require accounts, and do not sell your information to third parties.

What We Collect

• No account required — LessQ works without sign-up or login.
• Local storage — Your preferences (party size, selected park, manual location override) are stored locally in your browser using localStorage. We do not have access to this data; it never leaves your device.
• Touring plan requests — When you generate a touring plan, your selected rides and preferences are sent to our server to build the plan. This data is processed in memory and is not stored after the response is returned.

Location Data

LessQ may request access to your device's GPS location to provide proximity-based features such as nearby ride suggestions and walking time estimates. Location access requires your explicit permission via your browser's permission prompt.

• Your GPS coordinates are processed entirely on your device and are never sent to our servers or any third party.
• You can revoke location permission at any time through your browser settings.
• If you decline location access, LessQ continues to work using a default park entrance location.
• You may also set a manual location override, which is stored only in your browser's localStorage.

Cookies & Local Storage

LessQ does not use tracking cookies. We use your browser's localStorage to save preferences (such as selected park, party size, and theme) so they persist between visits. This data stays on your device and is never transmitted to us. We may use essential cookies required for application functionality if added in the future.

Analytics

We may use privacy-respecting analytics (such as Cloudflare Web Analytics) to understand general usage patterns. These tools do not use cookies, do not track individuals across sites, and do not collect personal information.

Third-Party Services

LessQ is hosted on Cloudflare Workers. Wait time data is fetched from third-party APIs (Queue-Times.com, ThemeParks.wiki). When you use LessQ, your browser connects to these services indirectly through our API. We do not share your personal information with these services. Your IP address may be visible to Cloudflare as our hosting provider, subject to Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.

Data Retention

We do not maintain user accounts or databases of personal information. Touring plan requests are processed in memory and discarded immediately after the response is returned. localStorage data persists on your device until you clear your browser data. Analytics data, if collected, is aggregated and contains no personally identifiable information.

Your Rights (GDPR & CCPA)

Because LessQ does not collect or store personal information on our servers, there is generally no personal data for us to provide, correct, or delete. However, we respect your rights under applicable privacy laws:

• Right to know — This policy describes all data processing we perform.
• Right to delete— You can clear all locally stored data by clearing your browser's site data for LessQ.
• Right to opt out of sale — We do not sell personal information.
• Non-discrimination — We do not discriminate against users who exercise their privacy rights.

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), our lawful basis for any minimal data processing is legitimate interest in providing the service. For California residents, we comply with the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). We do not sell, share, or use personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Children's Privacy

LessQ does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA). The app does not require account creation or any personal data to use.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be noted by updating the “Last updated” date above.
